Barfield Friends
Hello and a very warm welcome to the Barfield Friends, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Barfield Prep School, a registered charity with the Charity Commission.
At Barfield, our PTA – fondly known as the Barfield Friends – is a dedicated group of volunteer parents and teachers who work together to make a real difference. We focus on creating fun, memorable experiences for the children while raising vital funds to support the school in ways that go beyond the usual budget. In recent years, we’ve raised an impressive £10,000 annually through exciting events and initiatives. These funds have been invested in projects and resources that enrich our children’s school experience – things that might not have been possible otherwise. But the Barfield Friends are about much more than fundraising, it’s about all of us enjoying what Barfield has to offer as one big family. Fostering connections, improving communication and building an inclusive, welcoming environment for all. It’s this sense of community that truly sets us apart and makes Barfield such a special place. Each year we’re lucky to have wonderful class representatives join the Friends to bring our events to life, but we always welcome more volunteers. Whether you’d like to dip your toe in and help with one small task or dive into something bigger, there’s a place for you.
Stay up to date with our latest activities and upcoming events in the school’s interactive monthly newsletter, and Classlist, where we share all the highlights and plans. So get involved, share your ideas, and join us in making memories, building friendships, and continue making a positive impact together!
